High Llamas - Snowbug

[Fmaj7]

When the [Fmaj7] centre was here you were [Am7] 50 years young
You had [Fmaj7] light in your eyes, no wide [C6] world in your lungs

Now they [Fmaj7] shutter the windows and [Am7] skylights and doors
And the [Fmaj7] traffic goes elsewhere and you’re [C6] dreaming no more

You [Fmaj7] wait in the office they’ve [Am7] built in the grounds
They just [Fmaj7] tell you the details of [C6] jobs to be found

When the [Fmaj7] centre was here, every [Am7] thing seemed to fit
All that [Fmaj7] has been discarded in some [C6] dank woodland pit

The [Fmaj7] engine has seized up but you [Am7] take to the road
And you [Fmaj7] search for a ramp off the [C6] map, overgrown

[Cmaj7] [Fm] [Am7] [G/F]

For they [Fmaj7] say if a man keeps his [Am7] knees tightly shorn
He can [Fmaj7] live like they do in the [C6] concession zone

[Fmaj7] [Am7] [G/A]
